My Approach

My approach to therapy is client-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory.  IFS is a transformative therapeutic modality and movement promoting a holistic, affirming, and non-pathologizing approach to gain harmony within. I view the mind as naturally multiple, and welcome each part of you to speak its truth and be witnessed in a safe container within our relationship. IFS theory proposes that everyone possesses a “Self,” an inner resource at the very core of one’s being that keeps one grounded and open-hearted.  It is my belief that one’s Self holds within it the power of healing, yielding integration and wholeness within.

Through our work together, we will harness the healing energy of your Self while exploring parts of you that may hold painful emotions or memories, and parts that tirelessly aim to protect you from such pain. By developing authentic, safe relationships with your parts, we will promote inner harmony, clarity, and calmness.

In addition to being grounded in IFS theory, my work with you will be informed by Liberation Psychology. I believe in the transformative power of therapy to not only address individual struggles, but to also critically challenge dominant, oppressive societal systems that further marginalize communities through poverty, violence, and social injustice.

As a non-binary and queer therapist and activist, I am committed to fostering a space and community that is inclusive, liberating, and safe for your healing and exploration.

All of you is welcome here. You are the expert of your lived experiences, and I would be honored to walk beside you along this path towards fulfillment.
